Trim Your Wick
Always trim your wick to 1/4 inch before use. This will ensure there is not black soot in your candle and the candle will not burn too high.
Focus on the first burn
The first burn of a candle is SO important. Ensure when you light your candle for the first time that the wax melts all the way to the sides. How long this takes will vary per candle but allow a good few hours for this to happen. This prevents tunnelling and will make your candle last longer.
How long can you leave a candle to burn?
I would recommend no longer than a 4 hour burn per candle.
Safety
Always burn your candle within sight. Keep away from drafts and vibrations. Keep out of reach from children or pets. Never burn a candle on or near anything that could catch fire. Failure of following these steps could lead to serious injury.
